Let’s take a look at how Malta is the perfect place to build, design and develop sports betting software, as well as, taking a look at how Altenar’s sportsbook software has not only found global acclaim but helped to establish Malta as the place to find sports betting software providers.

How Malta’s History Informed Modern-Day Sports Betting Software

As the first country to introduce online regulation in the EU, Malta has positioned itself and those operating, providing and developing within the iGaming industry as one of the go-to countries for all things sports betting software and gambling software.

Not only this, but with over 300 sportsbook software providers, gambling operators and the like, the rich history of games like Cippitatu (a game of chance where players place bets on how a kind of spinning top would fall) would eventually, and most certainly, snowball into the Mecca it is known as today.

As the world became enthralled with all things sportsbook, and the inevitable growth of the industry swarmed the world, Malta retained its connoisseur-like qualities in the form of sportsbook software providers like Altenar, a sports betting software provider.

Not only this, but the business of sports betting software and iGaming took off; notably, one of the most sought-after events in the iGaming calendar takes place in Malta: SIGMA Europe - known by those in the industry as SIGMA Malta Week.

Though it’s not always about the glitz and the glam of events like SIGMA that draw thousands to the island of Malta for work - it’s the deeply educated individuals who build and support your sportsbook software.

Malta has one of the highest standards for education and as a result, the product of highly-skilled, passionate and determined individuals becomes abundant throughout Malta and helps to inform and construct the powerhouse that is the Maltese islands.

Looking and finding quality and ever-adaptive sports betting software is not difficult in Malta, especially if you know where to go - Altenar, a sportsbook software provider is a tier-one provider with numerous awards and industry recognition under its belt.
