As we welcome the start of another year and celebrate with those around us, it’s wise to reflect on the achievements that helped countless players around the world enjoy their favorite pastime—sports betting!
Altenar, a sportsbook software provider, took the time to highlight its 2022 year in review, showcasing several milestone achievements for the betting solutions provider.
One of the year’s standout moments was the creation of what’s been called a “data analyst playground,” which introduces Big Data analytics as a service to Altenar. With architecture shaped by Altenar’s Antonio Cacciotti, the team is closer than ever to delivering an agile big data analytics platform.
Thanks to the dedication of Arturs Obolevic, Altenar continues to grow its understanding of data application behavior in production. A prime example of this was during the 2022 World Cup, where the first production test of AIP technology took place—proving instrumental in understanding what it takes to maintain streaming applications in high-volume production environments (handling millions of bets per day).
The team is working toward delivering a stable and flexible liability report for all skins in the first quarter of 2023.
Altenar also made progress in 2022 with its first back-office reporting test case. Thanks to Isabel Lostantos Neccochea, the team took its first steps toward agile back-office reporting. A “click-of-a-button” approach was applied to deliver the profitability report using Airflow, iterated through several development frameworks.
Altenar’s Darren Willenberg and Konstantinos Doxiadis took the first steps toward enhancing operational decision-making with data. Their project supports the trading team by identifying common “abusive” patterns and triggering real-time notifications when they occur.
