Who we are
Altenar Introduction
Founded in 2011, Altenar is a leading igaming software provider inspired by the vision of our customers. Any non-standard request is a strong reason for our professionals to expand the product's capabilities by adapting it to a new market, new audience or new requirements.
This flexibility has led us to become the preferred partner for licensed operators, and has also allowed us to share our experiences of the gaming industry to help grow our clients’ operational capacity.
By providing the best customised solution in the field of the sportsbook igaming software, we fully understand the value of trust between both sides. For that reason, Altenar remains an exclusively B2B company.
Altenar’s mission goes beyond the idea of just achieving the highest possible profit. We aim to build a reputation as the most partner-oriented igaming software provider.

The history of Altenar
-
2011BetInAction Software (BIA) was established with a focus on developing and selling first-generation sportsbook software. During this period, the foundations of Altenar’s future offering were laid through early research and development of white-label sportsbook solutions, combined with trading, business support, and customer support capabilities. This phase defined the technical and operational DNA that would later shape Altenar as a full-service sportsbook provider.
-
2014Altenar was officially formed when Dinos, Stanislav, and Valeri joined forces to create a new sportsbook brand. The business model shifted from software-only delivery to a fully-managed sportsbook solution, reflecting a strategic focus on long-term partnerships rather than standalone products. At this stage, Altenar supported 16 clients and began establishing its reputation as a flexible and service-driven provider.
-
2016The fully-managed sportsbook model proved successful, driving steady commercial growth. Altenar entered its first regulated market with a licensed sportsbook in Colombia, marking an important milestone in regulatory compliance. By the end of this period, the company had grown to 40 employees and served 21 clients, laying the groundwork for international expansion.
-
2018These years marked a major acceleration in Altenar’s global growth. The company achieved significant progress in licensing across key jurisdictions, including Romania, Malta, the UK, Italy, Spain, Denmark, and Portugal. New offices were opened in Greece and Malta, strengthening Altenar’s international presence. By the end of 2019, the company employed 86 people and worked with 27 clients.
-
2020The global pandemic created challenges as sports events were suspended worldwide. Despite this, Altenar demonstrated resilience, achieving full recovery in performance and revenue by October 2020. The period also saw a sharp increase in incoming clients and the launch of the second generation of Altenar’s sportsbook platform. New licences were secured in Peru, Bulgaria, Estonia, Sweden, and Spain. By the end of 2021, Altenar had grown to 230 employees and supported 52 clients.
-
2022Altenar continued its international expansion by obtaining licences in Ontario ( Canada) and Lithuania. A major partnership was established with ApuestaTotal in Peru, further strengthening Altenar’s presence in Latin America. New offices were opened in the Isle of Man, Thessaloniki, and other European locations. The company also achieved ISO certification, reinforcing its commitment to quality and operational excellence. By the end of 2023, Altenar employed 330 persons and served 80 clients.
-
2024Altenar continued to strengthen its global footprint across regulated markets by securing a number of new licences, including in Greece, South Africa, and Denmark. New offices in Brazil and Uruguay further strengthened the company’s support for operators in South America, while Altenar’s commitment to compliance was acknowledged by winning the Outstanding Contribution to Sports Betting Integrity award at the Vixio Global Regulatory Awards in London. The period also saw Altenar welcome a significant number of new partners as a trusted iGaming provider operating across more than 50 regulated markets worldwide, while the workforce grew to beyond 800 employees.
