About SIGMA Africa

SiGMA Africa brings together a wide range of representatives from across the iGaming industry for the biggest conference of the year in Africa, with around 3,000 delegates from across the continent and further afield heading to Cape Town.

The size of the event reflects the growth of Africa’s iGaming industry, with powerhouses like South Africa and Nigeria attracting attention from major operators, while many countries such as Kenya, Ghana, Uganda and Tanzania are also displaying plenty of growth potential.

In a continent with a clear passion for football, and where smartphones and mobile data are becoming increasingly affordable, the betting landscape is quickly changing and SiGMA Africa attracts a wide range of companies.

The conference also includes the prestigious SiGMA Africa Awards and Altenar was delighted to be named as the Best Workplace at the 2024 edition, with CEO Stanislav Silin and sales team members Vagelis Bairlis and Tassos Theocharidis all in attendance to collect a trophy which highlighted the company’s commitment to its employees.

Altenar’s presence in Africa has since been boosted by the appointment of a Regional Director based in Cape Town, as well as acquiring a National Manufacturer licence from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board, further ensuring SiGMA Africa is an important event as the company seeks to build winning partnerships with operators across the region.
