Jamaica-based Supreme Ventures Ltd (SVL) has ended a nearly 10-year partnership with Intralot by switching to the retail sports betting platform from Altenar.
The leading gaming and entertainment company in Jamaica has, according to Co-CEO Xesus Johnston, determined that Altenar’s platform offers “more virtual games, faster processing times for online bets, better odds, and more leagues.”
As of December 1, 2019, SVL’s JustBet network is powered by Altenar software. First launched on the Intralot platform in 2010, it is now available in nearly 80 shops across the island.
“Intralot was our sports betting platform provider for nine years,” explained Johnston. “We launched JustBet on the Intralot platform in 2010, and we are grateful for the relationship we built with them and the partnership we've maintained over the years.
“However, we’ve made the switch to Altenar because of the wide range of features their platform offers, including more virtual games, faster processing times for online bets, better odds, and more leagues.
“As a result, JustBet now has access to the most virtual games in the Caribbean. This aligns with our position as the standard-bearer for gaming in the Caribbean.”
SVL’s business model allows companies to apply to become retailers of the JustBet platform, which explains the rapid spread of shops (currently 78) featuring the software, in addition to the seven retail centers owned and operated by SVL.
Johnston added: “The Supreme Ventures Group sees the partnership with Altenar as part of our medium- to long-term strategy to continually innovate through upgrades and the introduction of new gaming options that enhance the experience for our players.
“The sports betting segment of the gaming market is poised for further growth, and with Altenar, we’ll be uniquely positioned to capitalize on this expanding market—not just in Jamaica, but across the region—at an international standard.”
