Altenar is opening its doors and bringing the business community together with a new networking event called Malta Business Talks.
The goal is to create an event where professionals from different businesses in Malta come together to share knowledge, foster innovation, and build lasting connections.
Discussions will include business challenges, sales, and customer communications within the diverse and demanding iGaming industry.
Altenar has been organizing MaltaTechTalks for nearly a year now. The event has proven highly successful and generated significant interest from attendees, so the format is being continued—with the focus now shifting to business instead of technology.
Each event will feature insightful presentations by industry leaders and engaging panel discussions, all designed to offer a platform for meaningful conversations, professional development, and valuable networking opportunities.
Altenar COO Dinos Stranomitis contributed to the concept and will be the first speaker at the opening event, which will be held at Altenar’s office in the Pendergardens Business Center, St. Julian’s, on April 4.
Altenar is proud to open up to the public and share how we work, how we think, and what we stand for. Everyone is welcome to come and listen. We want to build strong relationships with the business community.
Dinos Stranomitis, COO at Altenar
Regarding what the audience can expect from his presentation, he added:
I want to talk about sales techniques. I’ve had to push myself to become a salesperson over the past 10 years. I’d like to share some of what I’ve learned in that transformation.
I’m a trained engineer, and engineers aren’t naturally salespeople—we don’t lie. In engineering, everything is zero or one—it either works or it doesn’t. But in sales, it’s rarely black or white; it’s always somewhere in between. I had to learn to adapt, and I can share that journey with the audience.
I used to struggle when people asked for features we didn’t have. You can’t just say no—you have to explore it with them and explain that you’ll work on it. In sales, you’re not just selling to customers, you’re also selling internally to your developers—showing them what’s needed and why.
To succeed in sales, you have to sell in both directions. Too often, people focus only on customers, but internal alignment is just as important. When you get your team’s support to build what the customer needs, you can be far more successful.
Whether you're a seasoned business professional, a client, an operator, or an enthusiastic supporter of the iGaming industry, Altenar warmly welcomes you to Malta Business Talks. The event is free to attend and will include refreshments. Visit the Malta Business Talks website to register for in-person or online attendance.
