A Preview from Altenar’s Ioannis Loukeris
The evening will kick off with Altenar’s own Ioannis Loukeris, who will deliver a sharp yet humorous presentation on the evolution—and misinterpretation—of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
“The talk dives into OOP’s original vision versus how it’s commonly used today—often in ways that hurt long-term project sustainability,” Ioannis explained. “I’ll highlight where we went wrong, the anti-patterns we keep repeating, and propose a simpler, faster approach to software engineering.”
Delivered through the persona of a satirical ‘grumpy old man,’ Ioannis promises a lighthearted, insightful critique of over-complication in modern programming: “It’s part comedy, part cautionary tale, but most of all, it’s a call for clarity, agility, and simplicity in the way we build software today.”
