Altenar has strengthened its support for sports in the local community by sponsoring the new Isle of Man Athletics Volunteer Award Scheme.
The initiative is designed to recognize and reward the contributions of the dedicated volunteers at club events across the Isle of Man. Whether it’s marshalling, officiating, judging, organizing events, or providing general assistance, every event in which an individual volunteers will count toward earning rewards.
Volunteers can pick up a loyalty card from their local athletics club and start tracking their progress, with every event earning a stamp. Volunteers reaching milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 50 stamps can convert them into kit and merchandise, while each stamp will also earn one entry into an annual raffle.
The scheme continues Altenar’s support for athletics on the island, with the company already sponsoring the Isle of Man Marathon and Half Marathon.
We are delighted to support the Isle of Man Athletics Association in their efforts to recognize the hard work and commitment given by volunteers, without whom many events simply couldn’t take place. Those familiar with Manx weather know that it can often be especially challenging!
Our support will hopefully encourage more volunteers to come forward and support what is a great local community for running, walking, and athletics. Giving back to the local community is something we take pride in, and we hope this will be a great success.
