Altenar has responded quickly to regulatory changes in Denmark by obtaining a license as a game supplier in the country.
The license is valid for the next five years, and the application process was completed quickly and efficiently thanks to the support of the regulatory body, the Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden).
Magno Neiva, Altenar’s Head of Licensing and Regulatory Compliance, oversaw the license application and expressed his satisfaction with a “very smooth” process.
I would like to thank the Danish Gambling Authority for their exceptional support throughout the entire process. None of our team speaks Danish, and we considered using external support, but we decided to talk with the regulator first, and they assisted us throughout the process in English.
They were very helpful, and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had in terms of dealing with a regulator. It’s worth highlighting their comprehensive certification program, which places Altenar in a strong position moving forward, as we need to be certified not only for functional aspects but also for many security aspects.
This gives us the confidence to talk with our operators and demonstrate that we have a very strong compliance solution, as Danish standards are very high. Paraphrasing a famous quote from the well-known Dane, Søren Kierkegaard: licensing and compliance is not a problem, but a reality to be experienced.
